A good rule of thumb: size the trailer by how many people need a real bed, then check the fresh water capacity against roughly 3 gallons per person per day. If the tank does not cover your crew for the full week, that is fine — extra potable water is an add-on, and a mid-week pump-out solves the gray water side.
