Rent a bike. No trailer required.

The city is about five miles across and there is no transport inside it. A bike is the difference between seeing the city and seeing the two blocks around your camp — and you do not have to rent a trailer from us to get one.

Fat tires on every bike, because narrow tires sink into playa dust and stop dead. They arrive cleaned, tuned, charged and locked, and they come back to us afterwards — so you are not buying a bike in Reno on the way in and abandoning it on the way out.

From $400per bike for the full event week

Renting one of our trailers as well? Add the bikes inside the trailer build instead — they go out with the trailer and come back with it, so there is nothing to collect either way.

Common questions

Can I rent a bike without renting a trailer?
Yes. Bikes are rented on their own, with no trailer booking required. The one condition is that you collect them: pickup and return are at our Reno property, and we do not run bikes out to the playa or collect them from it. Tell us roughly when you are coming through and we agree a time with you.
Do you deliver the bikes to my camp?
No. Bikes rented without a trailer are pickup and return at our Reno property, and that is not negotiable — a run onto the playa for a few bikes is the same trip as delivering a trailer, and there is no way to price it that is fair to you or worth it to us. If you are renting one of our trailers as well, add the bikes inside the trailer build instead: they go out with the trailer and come back with it, so there is nothing to collect either way.
What kind of bikes do you rent?
Every bike we rent is on fat tires, because narrow tires sink into playa dust and stop dead. There is one pedal bike and three electric models. All of them arrive cleaned, tuned and charged, each with a lock, and we collect them after the event so you are not buying a bike on the way in and abandoning it on the way out.
Do the bikes come with lights?
No — lights are a separate add-on, and they are the one we would push you to take. An unlit bike after dark is genuinely dangerous, art cars cannot stop quickly, and a Ranger will pull you over for it. Tire lights are $50 a set and frame lights are $75 a set, one set per bike, and they are yours to keep.
How long is a bike rental for?
The full event week, the same term as our trailers. We do not rent by the night — the work of prepping, handing over and checking in a bike is the same whether it is out for three days or nine.

An independent rental company. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Burning Man Project. Bikes are rented for the 2027 event week.
